We have a tradition of going somewhere for brunch on Easter. This year, we went to the Cappricio Grill at The Peabody. When we got there and got seated, it was time for the ducks to come out. The girls and I went to watch them, and my camera battery died! These pictures were taken with my phone.
The girls and I by the fountain.
Grant and the girls Grant and Addison after brunch!
My picts are a little out of order...Addison got up first and wanted to see what the Easter bunny brought her! Holding up her movie! The bunny kept with his tradition and brought both girls swimsuits!
Ansley got up a little later, and even managed to get dressed before seeing her Easter basket!
When we got back from brunch, we died eggs.
We then spent the afternoon outside enjoying each other and the beautiful day. We are so thankful for Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.
Ansley Sue was dedicated to the Lord the Saturday before Mother's Day.
She became quite the handful while patiently waiting on the other children! She jerked her bow/headband out and handed it to her daddy!
We were asked to choose a verse for Ansley. We chose Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Ansley, we want you to seek God's will in your life. There will be times that you have to make hard decisions. Trust in God to lead you in the direction he has planned for you. As much as we love you, we know God loves you even more!
Addison took dance this year and really enjoyed it. She was a little nervous about performing on stage during the recital, but she did great! The recital was in May. I'm determined to get our life blogged even if I'm 3 months behind!
These are some of my favorite pictures from this Spring...
Love seeing my girls play side by side, even if neither has on bottoms!
My sweet big girl. Addison has enjoyed riding her bike, but doesn't really like it when her legs hurt, or if she gets to going too fast! She will park her bike halfway down the hill right by our house. She's never made it around the block!
Ansley loves being outside! She has taken over Addison's 'bus', and before she started walking, she loved being pushed around outside.
Addison decided to get her hair cut this spring! I was hesitant, but she really wanted to do it! I love it, but I thought it made her look older!
Grant and I have learned that marriage is hard...but also wonderful. We have enjoyed having date nights on Monday nights when one of our moms was here. We visited Sakura's the most frequently for sushi!
For Ansley's first birthday, we just had her party at home. We invited family, and then Addison's 2 sweet, precious, friends, and their mother. Ansley enjoyed her day! I can't believe she is one year old! Where did the past year go! So at 1 year of age, Ansley was still a little, petite girl. At her 12 month appointment she weighed less than 20 lbs! She wasn't walking yet, and still scooting on her bottom! She was down to 2 nursing sessions, morning and night, with whole milk from a cup during the day. We started whole milk just a couple of days before her birthday. She was saying mommy and daddy, and using some baby signs. She was sleeping through the night, most of the time. She was putting herself to sleep at night, while sucking on her fingers, but still woke up one time most nights, but would go back to sleep after being comforted by her mommy!
I loved her birthday outfit! I bought it off of Etsy, and had someone make her bow to match. Of course, it was just starting to get hard keeping bows in her hair.
Oh how I love this precious, baby girl! Ansley and Luke were just starting to interact. They played side by side with some toys!
Here are some of the guests fixing plates and visiting! After eating, we opened presents. Ansley actually stayed with me, and "helped." Here is G-Dad and Luke. I thought this was such a cute picture! Little Miss liked her babies that she got!
After presents, we got ready for the birthday song, and cake... Happy Birthday Ansley!
She looks interested in the cake!
No thanks, mom. Think I will pass on the cake!
OK, its my birthday! I guess I'll try it!
After cake, or lack of for Ansley, several people went outside. We took some more snap shots!

I am a loving, Christian wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, niece, cousin, aunt and friend. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. We took a little break from each other after high school, but knew we were meant to be. After 6 years of marriage, we welcomed our first little girl. God blessed us with our second daughter in April of 2010. We are crazy about our girls! I am a speech therapist, and I love seeing the children I work with grow and learn new things!
